Oregano Systems sponsors two individual PCB-panels and a solder-paste stencil for students at the university of applied sciences Technikum Wien The students of electronics realize their own multilayer PCB-designs (Arduino heart rate monitor, 100W supply, stereo amplifier, battery tester, stackable guitar amplifier, RS232 converter, ADC-attenuators). The PCBs also contains test structures for manual processing of SMD-spacers, Paste-In-Hole reflow processing, SMD 0201 resistors (0.6mm*0.3mm) and test sockets for 2mm 10A test plugs.
Oregano Systems successfully and joyfully participated at the 34th Vienna City Marathon. This year was a new record of participants – 42.766 registrations for all competitions. The weather was very cold and windy – but fortunately it rained just very little. Today we introduce you easyn1588®, a brand new GUI for our syn1588® PTP Stack. easyn1588® is intended for users that are not familiar with all the details of PTP as well as for users that prefer to graphically control their applications. easyn1588® is currently available only on Linux OS. easyn1588® is located on the famous wooden syn1588® USB-Stick in the directory “sw/apps/linux”. This week, the brand new revision 2.1 of our syn1588® PCIe NIC arrived! Beside the well known high-performance, high-accuracy features we added the new exciting functions. It is now optionally possible to drive the syn1588® hardware clock with an external clock signal. For all users that require internal connectivity we improved our internal SMA connectors. In Q3/2017 the new Revision 3 of Oregano Systems‘ single chip IEEE1588 solution the syn1588® VIP evaluation board will be available. The design has been updated to meet the latest customer requirements. The syn1588® VIP evaluation board Revision 3 will be USB powered. We added the video sync generation capability as well as the jitter cleaner PLL for arbitrary high-speed clock generation. The UART output will also be available via USB further simplifying the usage of the evaluation board. A GPS receiver will be available on-board as well.
