During regression tests in our lab we identified a potential issue in our current version(s) of the syn1588® Software Suite when handling leap second events for IRIG-B output. Under certain (complex) circumstances a leap second event will be applied twice on the IRIG-B output data stream.
Please note, this issue does _not_ affect the PTP operation nor the IRIG-B input handling. Only the generation of IRIG-B output stream might be erroneous. In case you generate IRIG-B data streams using our syn1588® NICs or syn1588® Clock_M IP core please contact Oregano Systems’ support. We will provide you a patch which resolves this potential issue.
