Oregano Systems @ ISPCS’12

Oregano Systems will be joining the 2012 International IEEE Symposium on Precision Clock Synchronization for Measurement, Control and Communication (ISPCS) as well as the so-called Plugfest which takes place just before the symposium.

The Plugfest offers different IEEE 1588 vendors the opportunity to test and demonstrate device and system interoperability and resolve compatibility issues. All kinds of PTP implementations are plugged together to demonstrate system-wide clock synchronization. Oregano will focus on testing the new IPv6 feature of the syn1588® Gbit switch, the syn1588® PCIe NIC and the syn1588® PTP Stack. Furthermore, Oregano Systems will provide the new syn1588® Visual Measurement System (VMS) for measuring, displaying, analyzing and comparing 1 PPS signals of a large number of devices (24 in the current implementation). This gives the possibility to compare devices from different vendors and gives an idea of their performance.

The actual symposium focuses a new ideas and technologies regarding clock synchronization and gives participants the opportunity to discuss about future developments. This year there will be a special session on proposed revisions of IEEE 1588-2008.
