Oregano Systems is actively supporting the uptake of clock synchronization in the broadcasting industry, aside from contributing to the respective SMPTE standards group (32NF80).
Nikolaus Kerö has also been presenting various scientific aspects of clock synchronization on related conferences over the last years. In collaboration with Thomas Kernen (Mellanox) a series of four articles (“Using PTP for Time & Frequency in Broadcast Application”) will be published in subsequent issues of the EBU Tech review covering all topics related to clock synchronization for broadcasting applications. The first introductory article has been published in the March issue.
